“A Lakefront Experience” was selected by the St. Joseph County Public Library’s Planning Team as the theme for the design of this $1.1 million facility. An outdoor reading area appears to float in a field of native grasses. The inclusion of a stone water feature, ornamental arbor and copper rain chain further reinforce the theme. Historic shingle style architecture serves as an inviting counterpoint to the technologically sophisticated interior.
