HOWARD PARK RECONSTRUCTION

Venues Parks and Arts is the municipal department which is tasked with creating exceptional arts and recreation experiences throughout the City of South Bend. VPA recently completed a master plan for the parks system and determined that Howard Park would be completely reconfigured as a four season destination. The original ice hockey rink has been demolished and will be replaced with a skate trail and water feature. Additional park amenities will include a community center, restaurant, bar and event lawn with performance stage.
